The Owner invites tenders for:

The supply and installation of fibre optic conduit and associated underground infrastructure to facilitate future installation of fibre optic cabling.  The Contract consists of the following three (3) project Sites which is separated into three (3) design packages:

1. 8035-01: Dover St. between Nelson Ave. and Royal Oak Ave. (~370m);

2. 8035-02: Willingdon Ave. between Beresford St. and Kingsborough St. (~190m); and

3. 8035-04: Kathleen Ave. between Kemp St. and Kingsway (~50m).

The method of installation consists of horizontal directional drilling through roadways, sidewalks, and grass/dirt which require different surface restoration methods.  All restoration Work shall follow the latest Owner Pavement Restoration Policy.  Refer to each design drawing package for additional details.

This tender is being issued electronically through the on-line bidding system at https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca where Pre-Qualified contractors for the Area of Specialization 1.0 – Utilities may download the tender documents directly from the aforementioned website, as per Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) #70-05-25 Pre-Qualification for Construction Services (Engineering Capital Works).  No registration tracking or other recording of tender document holder will be performed by the Owner. All addenda, amendments or further information will be published through https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca.  It is the sole responsibility of the tenderer to monitor the website regularly to check for updates.  The tenderer is advised that the Owner or Contract Administrator reserves the right to not respond to enquiries received within four (4) Days of the Tender Closing Date.
