The City of Burnaby invites Tenders from experienced and qualified HVAC contractors to remove the existing oil furnace and associated materials and install a Heat Pump replacement to improve efficiency at this heritage home, the “Baldwin House” as further detailed herein. The issue of these documents does not confer any license or grant for any other purpose.

An OPTIONAL site visit for this Tender will be held on May 11th, 2023 commencing at 10:00 A.M. Tenderers are requested to meet at the front entrance of Alan Emmott Centre, located at 6650 Southoaks Crescent, Burnaby, BC V5E 4M7, Sub-Contractors may join the site visit. All attendees should wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the site visit. Further, the City recommends that attendees wear non-medical grade masks during the site visit.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY shall be received by the online bidding system. Hardcopy submissions are not permitted.

Tenderers are cautioned that the timing of their submission is based on when the Tender is RECEIVED by the online bidding system, not when a Tender is submitted, as transmission can be delayed due to file transfer size, transmission speed, etc. 

For the above reasons, it is recommended that sufficient time is given to complete your submission and to resolve any issues that may arise. The closing time and date shall be determined by the on-line bidding system’s web clock.

Tenders will not be opened in public. All unverified results will be posted on the Owner’s website by 10:00 am the next business day after the Tender Closing Time and Date.
