The City of Burnaby (“City”) wishes to engage a qualified mechanical consulting team (the “Consultant”) with the appropriate experience, expertise, qualified personnel to provide design and consulting services (the ‘Services’) to review building requirements, develop scope of work and provide specifications for the replacement of the Air Handling Unit (“AHU – 2”) and Boilers for the Eileen Daily Leisure Pool. The Consultant team shall be led by a Prime Mechanical Consultant. Additional consultants shall be included upon recommendation by the Prime Consultant. The issue of these documents does not confer any license or grant for any other purpose.

Pre-Qualification

Following Request for Qualification #10-01/21 Pre-qualification of Consultants for Building Maintenance Services (FM), only the following pre-qualified Proponents will be invited for this RFP:

1) Associated Engineering (B.C.) Ltd.

2) Flow Consulting Inc.

3) Introba Canada LLP (Former Integral Group Consulting (BC) LLP)

4) Smith + Andersen (Vancouver)

5) Stantec Consulting Ltd.

6) The AME Consulting Group Ltd.

7) TWD Technologies Ltd.

8) WSP Canada Inc.;

An optional site visit for this RFP will be held on Aug 22, 2024, commencing at 10:00 AM. Proponents are requested to meet at the entrance of the Eileen Daily Leisure Pool & Fitness Centre located at 240 Willingdon Ave, Burnaby, BC.

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY, shall be received by the on-line bidding system. Hardcopy submissions not permitted.

Proponents are cautioned that the timing of their submission is based on when the Proposal is RECEIVED by the on-line bidding system, not when a Proposal is submitted, as transmission can be delayed due to file transfer size, transmission speed, etc. 

For the above reasons, it is recommended that sufficient time is given to complete your submission and to resolve any issues that may arise. The closing time and date shall be determined by the on-line bidding system’s web clock.

Late submissions are not permitted by the on-line bidding system.

Proposals will not be opened in public.
