Notice is hereby given by the City of Burnaby of its intent to award a contract to Ecowaste Industries Ltd. for Landfill Disposal Services.
The estimated value of the contract is $125,000.00 in Canadian Dollars including applicable taxes for a two-year term, from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2028.
The City of Burnaby did not call for competitive proposals for the following reasons:
• The City requires a local site for City staff to drop off waste materials. Sites not in the direct vicinity of Burnaby will cause increased operational costs and travel time.
Companies wishing to object to this decision should submit a letter of objection presenting specific reasons for their objection. The letter should clearly identify the proposed location and explain how the Company will meet the City’s requirements.
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY, shall be received by the on-line bidding system. Hardcopy submissions not permitted.
Respondents are cautioned that the timing of their submission is based on when the Letter of Objection is RECEIVED by the on-line bidding system, not when a Letter of Objections is submitted, as transmission can be delayed due to file transfer size, transmission speed, etc.
For the above reasons, it is recommended that sufficient time is given to complete your submission and to resolve any issues that may arise. The closing time and date shall be determined by the on-line bidding system’s web clock.
Respondents should contact bids&tenders support listed below, at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the closing time and date, if they encounter any problems. The on-line bidding system will send a confirmation email to the Respondents advising that their Letter of Objection was submitted successfully. If you do not receive a confirmation email, contact bids&tenders support at support@bidsandtenders.ca.
Late submissions are not permitted by the on-line bidding system.
ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS of the Letter of Objection marked “Notice of Intent #172-07-26 Landfill Disposal Services”, bearing the name of the firm or individual bidding, will be received up to 3:00 p.m. PST Time August 20, 2026 through the on-line bidding system at https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca for this specific opportunity.
