The City of Burnaby (“City”) wishes to retain the services of an architectural building envelope Prime consultant team (“Consultant”) to develop design documentation to replace the Ceperley Mansion ‘Fairacres’ shingle roof system along with small flat roof areas.

The Consultant team shall be led by a Prime Consultant and will, at a minimum, consist of structural and heritage consultants. Additional consultants shall be included upon recommendation by the prime consultant.

Pre-Qualification

Following Request for Qualification #10-01/21 Pre-qualification of Consultants for Building Maintenance Services (FM), only the following pre-qualified Proponents will be invited for this RFP: 

1. Elemental Architecture and Interiors Inc.
2. JRS Engineering Ltd.;
3. Morrison Hershfield Limited;
4. RDH Building Science Inc.; and
5. Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd.

An optional site visit for this RFP will be held on February 21, 2023 commencing at 10:30 AM. Proponents are requested to meet at the West entrance to the Ceperley Mansion located at 6344 Deer Lake Ave. Burnaby, BC. The City recommends that attendees wear non-medical grade masks for the duration of the site visit. Sub-Consultants are able to join the site visit. 

ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS ONLY, shall be received by the on-line bidding system. Hardcopy submissions not permitted.

Proponents are cautioned that the timing of their submission is based on when the Proposal is RECEIVED by the on-line bidding system, not when a Proposal is submitted, as transmission can be delayed due to file transfer size, transmission speed, etc. 

For the above reasons, it is recommended that sufficient time is given to complete your submission and to resolve any issues that may arise. The closing time and date shall be determined by the on-line bidding system’s web clock.

Late submissions are not permitted by the on-line bidding system.

Proposals will not be opened in public.
