The City of Burnaby (“City”) wishes to engage a qualified consulting team (the “Consultant”) with the appropriate experience and expertise to assist in developing an Accessibility Plan for the City in accordance with the Accessible BC Act.

The Consultant should have proven expertise in Provincial accessibility legislation, group facilitation, accessible and inclusive community engagement processes, data analysis, strategic plan development, and oral and written communication.

The project will include the following elements: an assessment of accessibility initiatives to date; an accessibility stakeholder engagement process including consultation with persons with disabilities, family members of persons with disabilities, and representatives from organizations supporting persons with disabilities; establishment of a public feedback mechanism; and development of a plan that will include actions to improve accessibility and remove barriers to individuals in or interacting with the City. 

The City reserves the right to select one or more successful Proponents. The issue of these documents does not confer any license or grant for any other purpose.
