This tender is being issued electronically through the on-line bidding system at https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca where Pre-Qualified contractors for the Area of Specialization 2.0 - Roads may download the tender documents directly from the aforementioned website, as per Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) #31-02-22 Pre-Qualification for Construction Services (Engineering Capital Works). No registration tracking or other recording of tender document holder will be performed by the Owner.

The Owner invites tenders for:

Roadworks, installation of Rainwater Management Amenities (RMA’s) including supply and installation of catchbasin structures and leads, as well as supply and installation of manhole structures, storm pipes, and headwall for detention pond, street lighting, pedestrian signal modification, communication conduit, and landscape Works at four (4) Sites (Royal Oak, Kingsway, Bevan, and Byrnepark). The Work approximately includes:
• 6,610 square metres of asphalt milling/removal;
• 6,600 cubic metres of common excavation;
• 1,545 tonnes of asphalt pavement;
• 1,020 square meters of Portland cement concrete paving;
• 3,430 tonnes of granular road base and subbase;
• 1,430 metres of concrete curb and gutter;
• 2,815 square metres of concrete sidewalk;
• 670 square metres of asphalt cycle track;
• 130 square metres of granite setting band;
• 2,630 square metres of imported topsoil and hydraulic seeding;
• Permanent pavement markings;
• 26 rainwater management amenities (RMA’s), including drainage structures and catchbasins;
• Relocation of existing fire hydrant;
• Roadway lighting;
• Pedestrian signal modifications;
• Communication conduits; and,
• Landscaping, including planting of trees and shrubs.
