These instructions apply to and govern the preparation of tenders for this Contract. The Contract is generally for the following Work:

The Works shall include but are not limited to 6,050 metric tonnes of roadway asphalt, 20,100 square meters of full depth milling, 25,180 square meters of reshaping, 420 square meters of surface milling, 4,560 lineal meters of concrete curb and gutter, 9,970 square meters of concrete sidewalk and driveway crossings, 235 tonnes of asphalt multi-use pathway, 13,800 metric tonnes of gravel, raised crosswalks, speed  humps, landscaping, restoration, pavement markings, signage, adjustments, drainage, storm sewers, RRFBs, Overhead Crosswalks, and streetlighting.

The performance of the Works shall be along the following roadways:
1. Gilmore Avenue – Douglas Road to William Street;
2. Carleton Avenue – William Street to Union Street;
3. Carleton Avenue – Frances Street to Pender Street;
4. Madison Street – William Street to Pender Street;
5. Rosser Avenue – William Street to Pender Street;
6. Triumph Street – Rosser Avenue to Willingdon Avenue;
7. Gilmore Avenue and Dundas Street Intersection;
8. Gilmore Avenue and Triumph Street Intersection.

This tender is being issued electronically through the on-line bidding system at https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca where Pre-Qualified contractors for the Area of Specialization of Roads - 2.0 may download the tender documents directly from the aforementioned website, as per Request for Pre-Qualification (RFQ) #70-05-25 Pre-Qualification for Construction Services (Engineering Capital Works). No registration tracking or other recording of tender document holder will be performed by the Owner. All addenda, amendments or further information will be published through https://burnaby.bidsandtenders.ca. It is the sole responsibility of the tenderer to monitor the website regularly to check for updates. The tenderer is advised that the Owner or Contract Administrator reserves the right to not respond to enquiries received within four (4) Days of the Tender Closing Date.
