The intent of this Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is to obtain Proposals for the loading, transporting, and environmentally responsible processing of Green Waste Materials, as further detailed herein.

Burnaby’s current green waste services contract ends October 31st, 2024. The City intends to enter into an agreement with the successful Proponent for an initial contract term starting November 1, 2024 with options to extend at the City’s sole discretion. The City will consider both short and long term contract durations to receive the best possible value to the City’s operations. Proponents are requested to submit pricing for a short-term contract up to five years duration, and a long-term contract up to a maximum of twenty years duration. In addition to the short and long term options, Proponents may also provide an alternative contract approach for the City’s consideration, as further detailed herein.
